Ellen, I am so saddened that you lost your beloved little brother. I met Fritzi at your parent's home in Syracuse, NY when he was 15, and I do remember that we joked together. It was during a highly intellectually stimulating  gathering with your Dad as host and the distinguished Professor Bultmann as guest of honor.  As a shy newcomer to this country, I was so grateful for young Fritzi's presence.

We've been in Germany away from Internet access for two weeks, Suzanne, so have just tonight learned of Fritz's passing.Please know that Alice and I are thinking of you and will hold you in our prayers.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of a great friend.  Fritz, was and always will be, the best supervisor anyone could ever have the chance to work for.  I met Fritz over 23 years ago when I began working for him at the Executive Office for OCDETF.  I was in Tacoma, WA when Fritz interviewed me over the phone and hired me.  I thank him for the opportunity to work for him and for his friendship throughout the years.  I will miss him but will always remember the wonderful supervisor and friend that he was.

Saddened to hear of Fritz's passing. It was some 44 years ago that the two of you opened your home to a rag tag group of us to stay until we got another place.  Both of you were so welcoming and helpful. And your patience with our attempt to return the favor with a dreadful dinner in our apartment inferno was endearing.  Sorry for your loss.

Please accept our deepest sympathy as we lift you in prayer. May God embrace you with his loving and grace-filled arms giving you what you need as you need it. Praise be to God that death is a stepping stone from this life to God's eternal Kingdom.

Words cannot express how saddened we are to hear that our dear friend Fritz is no longer with us. Without a doubt he has left a void in our hearts and in the place he loved so much "Our Pastime", which can only be described as his second home.

For the past thiry years Fritz's mission on every 1st Thursday in February is to escape to Our Pastime Hotel. His love for Our Pastime and the people of Jamaica is indescrible - as he enters the hotel lobby he would beamed like a child who could not wait for Christmas to come to open his presents. From now on every first Thursday in February will be remembered as "Fritz's Day".

Though a little set in his ways Fritz was not a fussy person - just remember to place "Reserved" at his usual place at the table. Susanne, we are sorry that we cannot be with you at this sad time but you'll be in our thoughts...... as the staff of Our Pastime and friends from the beach will gather on Monday @ 12 noon 2nd Sept. to witnessed "Reserved" carved on the table in Fritz's memory.
We will miss our friend Fritz and we thanked him for his friendship, his love, trust and faith in us...he'll always be in our hearts.
