Glenn Robert Lange of Bethesda passed away to a new life on August 9, 2021. The most important part of Bob’s life was family. He was married to Helen, the love of his life, for 67 years and they were blessed with three children. The Holden Beach family vacation was a favorite time and tradition.
He had a passion for train travel, especially steam excursions, and enjoyed model railroading.
Bob was born in Youngstown, Ohio and moved to Washington DC at a young age. After high school, he served in the US Navy during World War II. After that, he earned a degree from University of Maryland, and then went on to graduate from University of Pennsylvania Dental School. He practiced dentistry for over fifty years, and loved his work, and all the wonderful people he met .
Bob is survived by his three children, Alissa Williams (Theron), Christina McArthur (Todd), and Bob Lange (Kathleen), seven grandchildren, Justin (Kourtney), Bobby, Brandon, Brooke, Meagan, Maddie, Hunter, and two great grandchildren, Bennett and Deacon.
The family will have a Celebration of Life on August 28th at 11:00 at Concord St-Andrews United Methodist Church in Bethesda, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation (https://www.pediatricrrf.org) would be appreciated.
