John "Jack" McGuire, was born on March 22, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, and died on August 12, 2015 in Washington, D.C. from complications related to advanced-stage melanoma. Jack was a remarkably fit 82-year-old man and an avid tennis player and world traveler until his last few months on earth. In his last year few years, he learned Spanish, competed in several tennis tournaments, and tried skiing again for the first time in over 15 years. Jack truly knew how to enjoy life, and fought to enjoy as much of it as he could until his last days. Jack was the cherished father of Nicholas "Nick" McGuire, and father-in-law of Sonia Kahn McGuire of Washington, D.C. He was also survived by two sisters, Catherine "Kitty" O'Hea and Margaret "Margie" Ambrose. Memorials can be made in his memory to a charity of your choice .
