Born on November 15, 1920 in Athens, Greece and the youngest of four siblings, John and his family immigrated to the U.S. in 1973. He was an accomplished diplomat, retiring from the Greek Foreign Service in 1981, a successful businessman and real estate investor, a loving father and devoted husband. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nadezda Perdikis; three sons, Akis, Nicholas and Alexander (Dresden Koons); and six grandchildren, Maria, Brendon, Justen, Kaeden, Kosette, and Eleanor.
Funeral services will be held on Friday September 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 2815 36th Street NW, Washington, DC 20007, immediately followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland.
