Passed away Friday, February 10, 2017. Much beloved by family and friends for his gentle soul, big heart, and wry humor. He is survived by his two daughters, Debbie Hechinger and Hilary Smith; his son-in-law John Hechinger Jr.; his four grandchildren, Jamie Hechinger, Kate Hechinger, Jack Hechinger, and Mara Smith Zidek; his grandsons-in-law Jay Klug, Tim Ivers, and Josh Zidek, as well as his two great-grandchildren, Johnny and Devon Klug. Family and friends will be notified of a celebration of his life to be held at a later date.
