

1921 – 2015
Joseph Grant Wagner, of Bethesda, MD, passed away October 26, 2015. He was born in Ft. Morgan, CO, the middle son of three to Carl and Esto Wagner. He graduated from the University of Denver class of 1943 and served two tours of duty with U.S. Navy Amphibious Forces in the Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Wagner returned to Denver, CO, to work in title insurance and mortgage banking and served as president of the Colorado Land Title Association. In 1971 he was appointed housing director for the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development in Colorado, and later served as special assistant to the HUD regional director for six western states. In 1978 Mr. Wagner joined the Government National Mortgage Association in Washington, DC, where he worked until his retirement in 1995.
He was married to Janet Amilon of Denver for 46 years until her death in 1993, and to Kiki Barzilai of Chevy Chase, MD, until her passing in 2004. Mr. Wagner is survived by his daughter Amy and her husband Page Stull of Bethesda, MD; grandson Gregory Stull, his wife Wendy, her son Emmett Brown, and great -grandson Parker Grant Stull, all of San Marcos, CA.
Services and interment will be in Denver, Colorado.
