Judith Eileen McDonald, 80, of NW Washington DC, passed away on Tuesday January 18, 2022 at her home after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Judy was born on January 10, 1942 in Washington DC to Joseph and Frances Gormley. She had eight siblings, Sheila Lojacono (Peter), Mark Gormley (Judy),Maureen Mershon (Robert Philburn), Michael Gormley (Mary Lu), Francis Gormley (Teri), Kathleen Keany (Hugh)Thomas Gormley (Berna), and Joseph Gormley (Wendie).
Judy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Besides spending time with family and friends, Judy loved to cook, travel, and volunteer in her local community. She is survived by her 4 children, Julia Harrigan, Michael McDonald, Maureen Carrington, and Devin McDonald, as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 28,2022 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at The Shrine Of The Most Blessed Sacrament Church located at 3630 Quesada Street NW Washington, DC 20015. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to DC Catholic Charities.
