So hard to believe it's been a year.  We in the book club continue to miss Lila so much - but for you, the Snow family, I know the one-year mark is a tough milestone.  Thinking of you - Carol Grigsby

Lila and I became friends more than 20 years ago at a Book Group.
Her humor, intelligence, amazing memory and her love of all art and culture made her the liveliest of people to include in any discussion.
Once, while visiting Glenstone Museum, the docent stood back as we all listened in awe to Lila's explanation of each artist's works in the room as well as a few personal stories from her travels that involved the artists.
I enjoy Lila's art in my home and in my daughter's home and I  hear her voice explaining each piece as I gaze at them. I wonder how she managed to have an artist's perception and humor in viewing everything in life, no matter how mundane or political.
Lila was one dynamic and caring woman and friend and I will miss our times together and our conversations.

I will always be so happy that our book club group came along at an important time in your life - and that YOU came along at such an important time in ours.  You brought such depth, such creativity, and such mischief to our group, but also to us individually.  I always will treasure our intimate visits in your living room - with or without the sushi - and was so glad to see you and Elaine not so very long ago.  You were truly a Renaissance woman, active and open to life until the very last - your Art Scene segment on "90-day Fiance" is living proof.  I can hope to follow your example.  Carol

I am very sorry for your loss. Lila was my favorite patient. I loved visiting her and always hated leaving. We did deal with her health but we both had fun talking about so many things. She was a brilliant woman, a phenomenal artist and quite a comedian. On one of my visits, she showed me her art studio and many of her pieces. I was blown away by the beauty she created. I was happy when I finally remembered to watch her Saturday art show on television. What a contribution she made. She was a beautiful woman and will be missed. 

I was part of the Book Club that Lila joined.  I thoroughly enjoyed her insights into our reading and the discussions that continued with her questioning.   I loved listening to her personal stories.             I had come to her home for lunch one day and was thoroughly amazed at the tour she gave us of her studio and her art work.   She was an amazing woman with her art, her politics, her actions and her words.    I will always think of her with admiration.

When I joined the book group Lila had been a member for years. Her knowledge, experiences and creativity were unparalleled. She was a life force and the world will miss her.

I met Lila Snow at a book club group we arranged in the Washington DC area.  We became great friends and enjoyed many discussions about books, art and life in general.  Lila was a great story teller.  I moved from the DC area about 7 years ago.  We kept in touch by mail.  I recently wrote to her but I don't think it was in time before her passing.  
We have a piece of her art on display in our home.  It will be a great reminder of her beautiful life.
