On June 30, Madge Dembski, daughter of Lillie Jumper Addy and Frank L. Addy, passed away at the Washington Hospice. Born on December 12, 1915 in Gilbert, South Carolina, Madge's sense of adventure led her to pursue work in Chicago, New York City, Washington, D.C., and then Europe. After arriving in Germany in the early days following World War II, she married Edward J. Dembski, who with her encouragement became a Foreign Service Officer. With him she traveled the world. She is survived by family in South Carolina, New York, and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Her children, Sandra Dembski, Robert Dembski, and Michael Dembski, their spouses, and Madge's grandchildren and friends will miss her.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Working Boy's Center of Quito, Ecuador (http://www.workingboyscenter.org/support-options) and the Humane Society of Montgomery County (http://www.mchumane.org/).
