

Margaret Heimann Suter, 98, died July 15 in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Suter was born in Urbana, Ohio, and graduated from Our Lady of Cincinnati, now part of Xavier University. She was married for sixty years to the late John (Jack) Suter, whose early career as an Air Force officer led to a life of travel. In wartime Mrs. Suter volunteered as a teacher and Gray Lady. For nearly fifty years, she worked as a writer and editor in various capacities, including at advertising agencies, Kann's department store, the National Institutes of Health, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. She was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, a devoted Catholic, a life-long Democrat, her love of reading, her warmth and wisdom, and her beloved English cocker spaniels. She is survived by daughters Anne Rampacek (husband George) of a Oakwood, GA, and Ruth Craig, (husband Dennis) of Eagles Mere, PA, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 3513 N Street, NW, Washington, D.C., the Humane Society, or one's charity of choice. Services will be held at The Chapel of St. Ignatius at Holy Trinity Church on July 20 at 10:30. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
