"Evie"
On September 18, 2011 of Potomac, MD. Beloved wife of the late Raymond A. DePue. She is survived by her sister Atha Russell (Jack); a sister-in-law Margaret B. Darroch; and a host of nieces and nephews. A 1949 graduate of the Women's College of the University of North Carolina. Evie served in the United States government. She was stationed at the American Embassy in Paris, France and at the White House from the Kennedy Administration to the Carter Administration. Among her duties she served as an Aide to the Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger. She was a witness of history from the China peace talks to the Watergate scandal. Friends may call on Saturday, September 24 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Ave. NW. with 1 p.m. Chapel Service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
