On February 7, 2014, Matthew Menard Blakey of Washington, DC, beloved son of G. Robert and Elaine Blakey, brother of Michael Blakey, Elizabeth Blakey, Anne Marie Blakey, John Blakey, Katherine Cox, Christine Coury, and Margaret Clarke. Also survived by 18 nieces and nephews and his Burner family. Family will receive friends at the Irish Whiskey Pub, 1207 19th Street, NW, Washington, DC, on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, 1725 Rhode Island Avenue NW, Washington, DC, Monday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Burners Without Borders, burnerswithoutborders.org.
