Surrounded by her family, Maureen Pettit passed away peacefully on June 2nd, 2024. She was born August 18th, 1960 to Minnie and James Pettit in Chicago, IL. Maureen is survived by her sons Michael (Samantha) and James (Catherine), as well as her sisters Mary, Jill, and Jeannine, her brothers Matthew and Mark, her grandson Charles, and her beloved dog Bella. Maureen is preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother James.
Maureen dedicated her life to her sons and grandson. She took great pride in the people her sons grew to be and their joys and successes in life. She also enjoyed crafting with her friends, thrifting for treasures, and relaxing at the beach.
A private service will be held for family and friends on August 3rd, 2024 at 12:00pm at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL, with reception to follow at the White Eagle in Niles, IL. In lieu of flowers, Maureen requested donations to be made to the Ontonagon County Cancer Association.
