Born in 1930, in Clovis, New Mexico, Max Miller was a Colonel Aide de Camp to Governor John J. Dempsey at age 12, and a DJ at KICA at age 16. He came to Washington, DC by way of Union College, NY on a scholarship. He graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and returned to DC after receiving an MBA from Stanford University. He worked for Litton Industries and later, for Earth Satellite Corporation as their marketing and business development manager until retiring in 2010. He was married for 56 years to Maria Theresa de Carvalho, a French Teacher and translator for the Belgian embassy. He enjoyed dancing, listening to jazz, Buddy Holly, and the Kingston Trio, and studying the history of Macau. He is survived by his children, Paula Miller and Craig Miller, and grandson Logan Miller.
