We were sadden to hear of Peter's sudden passing ... he will always be "Radish" to us ... he spent a lot of lunch hours at our family home in Brockville and was terribly kind to our Mom after our brother Bill (Festus) died of a heart attack 10 years ago ...
Sincere sympathy

To the Family of Peter Morton
We are writing to let you know that we were saddened to hear of the sudden death of Peter. He was a classmate of ours from high school (Class of 1972). We had very recently celebrated our 40th class reunion and about 25 of us gathered this past September to reminisce about our school years and over the course of a weekend we relived old times, adventures and many stories.
While Peter wasn't able to make the trip, we wanted to let you know that he figured in many of our stories and that he played an important role in many of our lives as both a friend and classmate. We are shaped by the friends we keep and he was a friend.
He will be missed. We are very sorry for our loss and yours.
On behalf of Peter we have made a donation to the Pet Connection in Lennoxville, QC, close to BCS.

Dear Cathie, Jennifer, Leslie, Courtney and Audrey, May we express our heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your beloved Peter. We saw each other just a couple of weeks ago at the Canadian Embassy, and we had a great laugh - which was always the case with Peter. His companionship and humour on the golf course was also legendary. We have all lost a great Canadian and a great friend. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of such tremendous loss. Our heartfelt condolences, Carl and Mary Hanlon

As a former classmate of Peter's at BCS, my memories are of a maverick. He truly spent his days following his own beacon, and I was duly impressed. Though this approach to life got him in trouble more than once, he didn't seem to care, and that impressed me even more.
Since those days, I'd come across Peter only a few times in Brockville, where I met his wonderful wife Cathie and their children. The maverick was tamed somewhat, but a warm hearty laugh was still a part of his presence, as always.
My sincere condolences to the family. Peter will not be forgotten.

Dear Morton Family, While the last time I saw Peter was in 1985 when we were colleagues at the Calgary Herald, I will always remember his infectious enthusiasm and good humour. He was a fine journalist and liked by all. He will be greatly missed. My prayers and condolences for the family.

Peter was a first-class reporter and a warm person who brightened up people's lives just with his presence and friendship. I worked with him at the Calgary Herald, but lost contact for many years. Happily, we exchanged emails again just a few days before he died. To his family, I'm so sorry for your loss. It must be immense.

Dear Morton Family and friends,
Peter was a fine young man and a friend. We attended Bishop's College School together and it is hard to accept that the world will no longer share his humor, love of life , and quickness to count you as a friend. He shall be missed. God bless.
