On Sunday, March 4, 2012 of Washington, DC, after a sudden illness. Much loved husband of Amanda Stokeld Moroney, Bob is also survived by sisters Peggy Carlson, Elizabeth Schmidt and brother Michael Moroney. Bob was raised and educated in Maryland. He had a 30-year career in Washington restaurant management. Many patrons of the old Childe Harold and various locations of Clyde's and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse will recall Bob's genial style, genuinely cordial, good-humored, caring. In their time away from work, Bob and Amanda travelled widely. When not in California or New Orleans, they explored England, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy and Greece. A favored spot closer to home was Manhattan. Bob will be greatly missed by his family and a legion of friends. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown on Tuesday, March 13, at 1.30 p.m., with reception to follow.
