Born in Honduras, Lidia came to the United States and settled in Washington, D.C., where she married and raised a family. She found joy in her work as a beautician and was known for her kindness, warmth, and care for others.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mariano Delgado; daughter, Martha-Lydia Hierl; granddaughter, Isabella Hierl; son-in-law, Russell Hierl; grandsons, Alexander Hierl and Eric Hierl; and additional extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Mario.
A Visitation for Lidia will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 3630 Quesada Street NW, Washington, DC 20015.
A Funeral Mass will begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906, at 1:00 p.m.
A Repass will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Matchbox, 1699 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852.
