Roslyn Barry, 84, of Chantilly and Washington, passed away May 11, 2026. Born April 29, 1942, in the Bronx, NY, to Michael and Rose Connors Larkin, Roslyn had multiple vocations, including Coast Guard officer’s wife, nurse, mother, and co-owner of The Paschal Lamb Catholic bookstore in Fairfax. Her life was defined by her Catholic faith, exemplified in relationships with her husband Kevin, her sister Rowena, her children, her extended family (who called her “Beautiful Aunt Roslyn”), and multitudes of lifelong friends (effectively everyone she met).
Roslyn is survived by her sister, Rowena Morris; her children Michael (Lee), Daniel (Gwen Aranya), and Melissa Javier-Barry (Andre); and her grandchildren Kate, Lizzie, Aaron, Elise, and Oliver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin.
Service Information:
A Funeral Mass will be held on June 4 at 11 a.m. at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament. She will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
