Ruth H. Donaldson of Washington, DC, on January 6, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John C.L. Donaldson and beloved mother of Glenn H. Donaldson and Gregg J. Donaldson. One of nine children from Landrum, SC, she is survived by her two sons; brothers, Raymond Howard, Olin Howard and sister, Hazel Hammett; numerous nieces and nephews. After a rewarding career working for three US Chiefs of Protocol - US State Department, she raised a family and was active as Past President of Capitol Speakers' Club, PALCO and Friends of Pakistan Club, Diplomatic Liaison for Welcome to Washington and served as Protocol Advisor for the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m. at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, 5130 Wisconsin Ave., at Harrison St., NW, Washington, DC, where funeral service will be held on Monday, January 14 at 11 a.m. Interment private.
