Dr. Battiata was my fist children’s pediatrician in 1960. I was a new mom, in a strange city, with no family in the nearby states. When there was an illness, he came right to the house to care for my babies. 
His calm and reassuring manner gave me so much comfort.  I am now 90 yrs old and I can truly say that he was the best doctor I ever have known. May God rest his soul and comfort his family. It was a privilege to have known him. Judy Busse

Dr. Battiata was the best Pediatrician we ever knew. We lived in Maryland when our first child was born; and we then began our doctor/patient relationship, which lasted for many years. We moved to Manassas, VA., where we added three more children to our family; and we tried to find a good Pediatrician, but none lived up to what we had gotten, and expected from Dr.  Battiata. So we drove about 35 miles for regular appointments, and whenever we needed special doctoring for one of our children. It was well worth the trip. I can still hear Dr. Battiata saying, "Here are the Severes all the way from Manassas!" I even got my first Mumps shot from his office, as I had never had one before. Well, our hearts go out to the family. We always loved Dr. Battiata and will always remember him. My wife always love his smile. You are in our prayers.

Dr. Battiata was the doctor my brother and sister and I went to when we were kids in the 60s and 70s. I was sad to hear of his passing from my parents. They had so much respect for him and said they couldn't have had a better pediatrician for us. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dr. Battiata was our pediatrician from 1977 when our first daughter was born until he retired and our fifth daughter was still a youngster. He set the bar for all other doctors we have seen over the years and none can compare with his kindness, caring, and gift of healing. He is like your favorite teacher that you never forget and we will always remember him!
