On Saturday, December 24, 2016, Spyridon Hallas, known as Spiro Hallas, died at the age of 89. Spiro was the owner of Spiro's Barber Shop in Bethesda. Beloved husband of the late Goldie Terss Hallas; devoted father of Vicki Hallas (John Cupo) of New York City, Maria Hallas of Memphis, TN, brother of Frank Hallas (Elpida). He is also survived by Vasili Hallas (Daphne), many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call at The Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, 7701 Bradley Blvd., Bethesda MD on Saturday, December 31, 2016 where the family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.
