The fourth of five children, he attended Blessed Sacrament, Landon, Georgetown Prep, and the College of the Holy Cross before serving five years in the U.S. Navy in Charleston and London. Cassin spent over 40 years with the U.S. Department of Commerce in International Trade and loved painting.
Cassin was predeceased by his wife Anne and son Stephen, and is survived by his daughter Elizabeth, son Brad, and grandchildren Mimi, Sam, Jack, Eve, and Lexy Rose.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda.
