On January 20, 2015, beloved mother and friend, Suzanne Holaday of Washington, DC, passed away at the age of 71. She was a proud Washingtonian, receiving her education through D.C. public schools, and serving a 40-year career with the Department of Justice. She was the daughter of Elizabeth and Harvey Larrick, and is lovingly survived by her daughter, Heather Holaday. She also leaves her dog, Buddy Holaday. Suzanne last resided at her home in Grafton, WV. She adored music and gardening and was always ready to share a smile or lend a willing ear to any who crossed her path. Her bright spirit and genuine warmth will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a viewing at Joseph Gawlers & Sons Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016 on Thursday, January 29 between 5 to 8 p.m. On Friday, January 30 there will be a 10 a.m. viewing at Sixth Presbyterian Church, 5413 16th St. NW, Washington, DC 20011 with a service to follow at 11 a.m. The procession to the burial will proceed directly from the service.
