Tania served for 25 years at the US Department of State in Kazakhstan, Poland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, New York, and Washington. She received her Masters degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, her BA from the University of Virginia and graduated from McLean High School. Tania was a member of the Holy Trinity community, she taught public diplomacy at the US Foreign Service Institute, the Meridian International Center and for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Tania is also survived by her mother, Martha Bohachevsky Chomiak of Washington, DC as well as her sister Dora Chomiak, of New York City.

Visitation will be held at Joseph Gawler's Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016, on May 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Prayer Service there the same day at 6:15 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3513 N Street NW, Washington, DC 20007, on May 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
