Theresa Lynne Rabel

Theresa (Terri) McCormick Rabel passed away October 4, 2026, from metastatic breast cancer. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of style, her devotion to rescue animals, and the many friendships that enriched her life.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Charleston, WV, Terri attended college in South Carolina and received her Masters Degree from West Virginia University.

After graduating from WVU, Terri held a variety of legislative positions on Capitol Hill before building a distinguished career with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), where she served as senior vice president of operations and international business development. Her work connected her with broadcasting leaders around the world, and she will be remembered for her generosity in making introductions, encouraging others, and bringing people together.

Terri had an eye for beautiful things and a personal style that was unmistakably her own. Those who knew her will remember her elegance, her quick wit, and the compassion she showed to both humans and animals in need.

Animal rescue was a cause close to her heart. She supported many organizations dedicated to their care and welfare, and a beloved rescue dog was always by her side. Her dogs were family; cherished and cared for as children. With Terri, they found a loving home and a devoted companion.

She leaves behind many friends from around the world who loved her dearly and will miss her presence in their lives. She is survived by a cousin, Patricia Ann McCormick, of Charleston, WV.

Terri’s memory lives on in those friendships, in the people she encouraged throughout her career, and in the animals whose lives she helped make better.
