May (née Gross); devoted father of Stephanie, Maureen, Cynthia, Timothy (Jodie) and Anthony (Chrissa); brother of Thomas May of Denver, CO; grandfather of Felix, Timothy, Nicholas, Alexander, and Madeline. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Joseph Gawler's Sons, Inc., 5130 Wisconsin Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Memorial and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Crypt Church in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Ave., N.E., Washington, DC on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 10 a.m. with reception to follow. Private interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Washington, DC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School (Takoma Park, MD) and St. Ann's Infant and Maternity Home (Hyattsville, MD).
