

Died peacefully at home in Washington, DC after a nearly two year battle with lung cancer on June 18, 2015, five days before his sixtieth birthday. Timothy was a purveyor and designer of fine jewelry in Washington, DC for more than three decades, and is survived by his husband Thomas M. Funk (a.k.a. Kelly Fox), brothers and sisters Mary Ellen Lackey, Rita Daniel, Kevin Sweeney and his twin Terrence Sweeney, nieces and nephews William "Skip" Lackey, Jr., Scott Lackey, Shawn Lackey, Kristin Allen, twins Scott and Todd Daniel, William and Marie Funk, Krista Funk, Kara Funk, Kaylee Funk and numerous friends. A funeral service will be held in the Joseph E. Hagan Memorial Chapel at Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W. (corner of Harrison Street), Washington, DC on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 7 p.m. Following the service, the family will greet friends with a reception in the Eisenhower Room at Joseph Gawler's Sons.
