Dear Friends,
We were so saddened to hear about Bill's passing. Our condolences go out to Ann, his son Bill and his family, and colleagues at the firm he founded. We met Bill when he moved next door to us those many years ago and we have been friends and clients ever since.
We were sorry we couldn't be at his funeral as we were out of town visiting our children.
He will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Ralph and Mary

Well, I just wrote my heartfelt thoughts but somehow I think I didn't actually post them, so let me try again: short and sweet, from the heart, for Bill's family, co-workers, and all those who loved him and who he loved: I only knew Bill as one of his clients, and I never met him in person, yet I really want you to know how very much he helped me this past year. My Mom (a very long-time client of Bill's) died in April of 2018. Having Bill be the CPA for her final income tax return and for her estate income tax return may not seem like much, in terms of how much he could have helped me and impacted my life, but the thing is, he went so far above and beyond just being the accountant for that (which he did exceptionally well): he also helped me navigate it all, and he was the voice of reassurance and comfort, and knowledge of what to do, at the end of the phone line. He was someone my Mom and I both knew and totally trusted. After her death, during the probate process, words cannot express how much Bill helped me by being so exceptionally accessible, and not only knowledgeable but caring and kind. SO kind and also so patient.
He guided me through the process. I felt so overwhelmed and alone, handling my Mom's affairs, yet Bill made it all so much better. I really don't think I could have gotten through it without him. He was a very special, kind person. I am so grateful that he was there for me (and for my Mom for so many years--she appreciated him so much, too). He touched many lives. I just want you to know how much he touched mine, and how very much he helped me, even though I was just a client. I appreciate him so much, and I'll never forget him.
