Antonino was born in Sicily in 1937 to lovely parents Rosaria and Vito. He was the middle child of the three boys, Joseph and Salvatore. He was brought up to work at a early age and he continued to work hard always to provide for his family. He never learned to read or write but he was the brightest and smartest person you can meet. He went to the Italian military at 18 in Bologna. He was there for 2 years, he would always reminiscent about those years about the good times he had and the friends he made.
He was a very devoted husband and a great dad. When he met his wife, he knew she was the one. Antonino and Francesca married in 1963. Their first child was born in 1964, Vito, and 3 years later a daughter, Rosanna. His family was above everything and loved his children immensely. He was a true and loyal friend, a funny guy that loved to tell stories. He was very generous, he loved to give to anyone, and above all he loves to cook. His joy was to see anyone enjoying his food. Three words to describe him would be: family, Meagan and food. Antonino always had work in Sicily, he would manage people land, he knew all about agriculture. They lived in a small town and to give his children a better tomorrow they moved to America in 1982. He would go to work in construction in NYC for 10 years. Later he would go to work at the pizzeria with his family. He loved his kids for sure but when Meagan, his granddaughter was born, she became his priority. She was the apple of his eyes, anything she wanted he got her. He would always lit up when she was there, even lately when he was not so responsive.
He was lucky at the casino and lotto, he would play everyday. Anyone that played cards with him knew that he was going to win, and when he did he would have the biggest smile on his face.
Everyone that met him loved him because of the beautiful and amazing person he was. He will be missed by his wife, Francesca of 60 years, his son Vito and wife Sveta and her children Olga & Yana. His beloved daughter Rosanna and son in law Eddie and his beautiful granddaughter Meagan. He will be missed immensely, everyday, every minute. He was loved and will be loved buy everyone that crossed his path.
This loss is a great grief for the family and he will be missed greatly.
