Carl "Cookie" J. DiDonato of Rock Tavern, a truck driver with Local 445 Teamsters, entered into rest at home on June 14, 2010. He was 58.
The son of Francis J. DiDonato and Grace M. Amodio, he was born January 5, 1952 in Middletown, NY.
He was a member of the Teamster Local 445; avid race fan and devoted Earnhardt fan who also loved fishing and hunting who throughout his life belonged to many fish and game clubs. He loved to make people laugh and have a good time, and he loved traveling to Las Vegas. He was a loving husband, father, son and grandfather who was devoted to his family.
Survivors include his wife, Mary R. Cornish DiDonato of Rock Tavern; son, John C. and wife, Casey DiDonato of Bloomingburg; daughter, Carla M. and husband, James C. Sansone of Rock Tavern; grandchild, Callie Sansone of Rock Tavern; mother, Grace M. DiDonato of Goshen; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Howard Cornish of Campbell Hall; brother, Francis DiDonato of Montgomery; brother-in-law, Russell Cornish of Virginia; nephew, Christopher DiDonato; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 17, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville.
Services will be held on Friday, June 18, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Washingtonville.
