Catherine Dorothy Beal

Catherine Dorothy Beal, a resident of Washingtonville, NY, passed away on June 13, 2024. She was 75 years old. Catherine was born on February 18, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Veronica (Wahl) McCabe. Before her retirement, she was a keyboard specialist for the NYS Troopers for many years. She would take trips to the summer house in Liberty, NY and visit with childhood friends from Brooklyn and longtime friends. She enjoyed painting with several art groups with many friends. Catherine also enjoyed watching her grandkids play multiple sports throughout the seasons, and loved bedtime readings over the phone.

She is survived by her son Patrick Beal and daughter in law Priscilla Beal. Her grandkids Kevin and Austin Beal, Sabin Tanner Jr. and Mackenzie Tanner, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her siblings Jack McCabe, David McCabe, Edward McCabe, and Kevin McCabe son Sabin Tanner Sr. and husband Lyman Beal.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 17th from 5-9pm at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992, where a service is scheduled at 8pm. Inurnment will be scheduled for Friday, June 21st at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924.
