Catherine T. Christie Franchini

Catherine T. Christie Franchini, 102, of New Windsor, NY, died on October 31, 2025, in Fishkill Rehab Center. Catherine "Kitty" was born on June 25, 1923 in Beacon, NY, to George and Ellen (Cassidy) Habernig. She married Anthony L. Christie and relocated to Newburgh NY. He died on October 17, 1984. Catherine then married Tony Franchini, who has also preceded her in death.

"Kitty" was a dedicated housewife and mother to her 3 sons; Anthony, Robert and William Christie. She enjoyed the casino, bingo and playing cards with her family and friends.

She is survived by sons, Robert Christie, of New Windsor, NY, William (Robbie) Christie, of Rockford, Il; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony (Butch); 2 grandsons, Michael and Jonathan Christie; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Schneegass and Frances Chiaramonte; a brother; George Habernig, Jr.; and a daughter in law, Christine Christie.

Friends may call from 9-10:30 Thursday, Nov. 6th, at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St, Washingtonville NY. Mass will follow at St Mary's Catholic Church at 11 am.

Burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville.
