Edward M. Bernard

The son of Walter Bernard and Roslyn Meisner, he was born June 1, 1943 in New York City.

He was an ironworker for Local 580 in N.Y.C., NY He was also a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served on the USS Proteus.

He was the husband of Margaret M. Bernard.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret M. Bernard of Bloomingburg, NY; a son, Christopher Bernard of Campbell Hall, NY; a daughter, Meagan Bernard of Bloomingburg, NY; granddaughters, Alexis and Lilianna; a sister, Janey and husband, Paul Johnson of Monroe Township, NJ, and longtime friend, Linda Levy of Berlin, CT.

He was predeceased by a son, Brian.

Visitation will be from 10-12 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2011 at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on January 10, 2011 at St. Mary’s Chapel, One Father Tierney Circle, Washingtonville. Burial will be in st. Mary’s Cemetery.
