

Frances A. Hogan of the Village of South Blooming Grove, NY, a homemaker, entered into eternal rest on October 16, 2011 at home. The daughter of Frank and Valerie Adams Homolka, she was born July 22, 1923 in Manhattan. As a New York City resident she was employed as a private secretary first at the H.T. Swander Company and then at Lewis and Conger.
A longtime parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville. She was an avid gardener who loved animals, baking, sewing and baseball. The widow of the late Philip G. Hogan she is survived by two sons, Frank and George Hogan both of the Village of South Blooming Grove; two sisters, Josephine Selleck of the State of Florida and Helen Rollins of Phillipsburg, NJ; also several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville, NY. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery also in Washingtonville, NY. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 2 Father Tierney Circle, Washingtonville, NY 10992 or Our Lady of Victory Home of Charity, 780 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218.
