

Fred was the son of the late Frederick A. Quimby Sr. and Agnes M. (Finnen) Quimby. He was a 1969 graduate of Washingtonville High School and excelled in basketball, soccer and track. After graduation, Fred was drafted into the United States Army. He proudly served his country and was stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge, he followed in his father’s footsteps by joining The Teamsters Union Local 445. Fred dedicated 30 years of service to the union before retiring. In retirement, he lovingly cared for his mother, Agnes, until her passing.
Affectionately known as “Teddy” or “Fred A.,” Fred was a devoted father and stepfather. He enjoyed coaching Little League, golfing, and hunting. He proudly served his community as a Trustee for the Village of Montgomery. Fred also loved spending time at the Saratoga Race Track and participating in many golf outings with his friends from Montgomery.
In addition to his parents, Fred was predeceased by his stepson, Steven Iko, his brother, Richard W. Quimby and his brother-in-law Jerry Williams. He is survived by his wife, Judy Quimby of Middletown; his beloved son, Drew Quimby, and daughter-in-law, Kim Quimby; his stepson, Jeff Iko; and his two cherished granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Keira Quimby.
Visitation will be held at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992, on January 24, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Following the visitation, friends and family are invited to join us at The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), located at 10 Hibernian Way, Mountainville, NY 10953 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to toast and celebrate Fred’s life.
A visitation will be held at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, located at 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992, on January 24, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
