Gail was a resident of Washingtonville for 55 years and a lifelong member of the Monell Engine Company Ladies Auxiliary. She spent many years working as a personal aide caring for the elderly. Gail was a devoted mother and grandmother. She had unmatched love, devotion and compassion for her family. She enjoyed being a Grammy to everyone, and especially loved being “The Grandma” to her youngest great grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends, snacking on her candies and cookies, puzzle books, playing solitaire and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Grammy had an uncanny ability to reach people in positive ways. Her silly dancing and singing were sure to bring a smile to everyone. Grammy was always up for a party with a Busch light beer in hand. Grammy will forever be remembered for her Sarcastic wit and humor, including her uncanny catch phrase, “Mean, nasty and rotten” in response to being asked how she was. She will be forever remembered for her ability to pour the best Pepsi and make the best grilled cheese and omelets. The family would like to offer their gratitude to all those who cared for Gail including Sapphire Meadowhill nursing home during her final days.
Services were held privately. Celebration of life will be held in October.
Donations can be made to the Blooming Grove Humane society or the Monell Engine Company in memory of Gail.
