George Joseph Knights

George was born in Salisbury Mills, NY on July 4, 1932, to Frank and Elizabeth Williams Knights. George was a Carpenter by trade with the Carpenters local 19. George was a Korean War Vet serving in the US Army. A lifetime member of the Salisbury Mills Fire Company, he served as past Commissioner and Fire Chief. George was a loving brother, uncle and great uncle.

George is survived by sisters: Mary E. Knights and Lorraine A. and her husband, Kenneth Gill both of Salisbury Mills, NY; nieces and nephews: Patricia and her husband, Lee Mynio, of Salisbury Mills, NY, Kenneth and his wife, Kirsty Gil of Miami, FL and Christopher and his wife, Karen Gil of Edinburg, NY; great nieces and nephews: Samantha and James Mynio, Christopher Thomas, Danielle, Kerry and Ryan Gil.

George was predeceased by his brother Frank Knights.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY 10992. A mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 29, 2014, 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Washingtonville, NY. Burial will follow at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Gorge's memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 23 East 26th Street, New York, NY 10010.
