George P. Savasta

George was born February 26, 1943 in Newburgh New York to George and Mary (Balogna) Savasta. He graduated from Wallkill Central High School. He was a retired truck driver for L.J. Kennedy Trucking. He continued to work with Heavy Equipment as an independent contractor.

George is survived by his companion Dorothy Scholfield of Salisbury Mills, NY. Sons Charles and (Cindy)Savasta, Walden, NY, George (Jamie) Savasta Walden, NY Joseph and (Heather) Savasta, Chester Va and one daughter Amber and (Richard) Berardinelli of New Windsor, NY. Eight grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Gina, Scott, Lia, Keely, Lucca and Nolen and one great-grandchild Wyatt.

George was a loving father, companion, grandfather, and friend who was always willing to help no matter the cost. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Pietro Savasta."

Visitation will be on Saturday August 5, from 4-8pm at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY. Prayer service will be at 8:00pm in the funeral home.
