Born on the 26th of September 1972 in Athea, Co. Limerick, John was known for his unwavering work ethic, generous spirit, and kind heart. A proud Irishman, John moved to New York in 2012, where he built a new life while never losing touch with his roots.
John gave freely of his time and energy, touching the lives of many through both his personal and professional life. Whether it was lending a hand, offering advice, or sharing a laugh, he was someone people could always rely on.
His strength in the face of illness was nothing short of inspiring. He met every challenge with bravery and dignity, never allowing his struggle to diminish the warmth he brought to those around him.
He will be dearly missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and valued work colleagues, all of whom were lucky to know him and will carry his memory with them.
May he rest in peace.
There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday, June 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (with prayer service at 3:30 p.m.) at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992
