Joseph F. Beneducci was born on May 11, 1930 in New York City. He served in the Korean War, posted in Great Britain as a military plane smoke operator. After he had served his tour, he would later take a position as a court clerk for the New York City Federal Court. In 1953, he proposed to his childhood sweetheart, Marie Rescigno. Together, they would have two children, Robert and Michele. Joseph had 4 siblings: Ralph, Rose, Susie, and Camille. Joseph was a man of many talents; from cutting hair, to making pizzas, and fixing upholstery. He had a deep love for Native American motifs, as well as a fan of baseball alongside his favorite team, the New York Yankees. He shared plentiful stories from his court clerk days and small bits of wisdom over a game of Solitaire.
Joseph was a gentle, quiet man and prideful in his ways. Yet, he loved unconditionally and fiercely; he was always willing to help whether you be friend or family. Having seen as much as he did in his earlier years, Joseph reveled in the peaceful town where he would live the rest of his days with his wife, Marie, and immediate family. To him, his home was his castle, dubbed the ‘best house on the block’, and there could truly be no better place like home to him.
He is survived by his children, Robert and Michele; his grandchildren, Matthew DeVuono, James Beneducci, Mark Beneducci, Lisa Beneducci, and Christopher Beneducci, and his great grandchildren, Ryan Beneducci, Zachary Beneducci, Nicholas Beneducci and Sophie Beneducci, Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 2-4pm & 7-9pm at David T.
