Katherine R. Forsyth

Katherine R. Forsyth of Washingtonville, NY entered into rest on April 18, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. She was 83. Katherine was born in Harrison, NJ on August 14, 1928 to Anthony and Catherine (Gleason) Testa. She was the widow of John Forsyth. Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a volunteer for RSVP program of Newburgh and Meals on wheels. She was also a member of TNT Tappers of Newburgh and the Twin River Cloggers and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. She is survived by her loving daughters, Karen and her husband Carl Gilbert of Blooming Grove, NY and Jeanne and her husband John McCabe of Washingtonville, NY; grandchildren, Kelly and husband Dinesh Mistry, John McCabe and fiancé Vivian Ibarra, Kristen McCabe and Heather Gilbert; great granddaughter, Maya Mistry as well as many nieces and nephew and her dog Chloe. Katherine was predeceased by her sister Mary Mason. Visitation will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 from 2-5 & 7-9pm at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, 9:30am at St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville, NY. Burial will immediately follow at 11am in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
