Fond memories
Kelly Ann Lasher (Mosca)
Loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt
Kelly was born on October 16, 1970 to Richard and Patricia Mosca in Jacoby Hospital, Bronx,
New York. She passed away at home on November 30, 2021, after filling the hearts of every
person she met with joy and encouragement. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years,
Daniel M. Lasher; son Logan Lasher; stepson Daniel Lasher I; stepdaughter Edyth A. Lasher;
only sister Patricia Ann (Mosca) Magee Davis; former brother-in-law John Magee; sister-in-law
Maureen Lasher; brothers-in-law Dennis Lasher, Timothy Lasher, and Joseph Lasher; nieces
Autumn (Mage) Branz and Aubrey Magee; nephews Jonathan Magee and Robert Magee; and
close cousins Denise Mosca and David Mosca. She is predeceased by her nephew John Richard Magee.
As a wife, Kelly gave unconditional love, inspiration, encouragement, faith, trust, and support.
As a mother, she gave nurturing, inspiring, loving, attentive support to our only son, Logan
Lasher. As a sister, she was not only Patricia's best friend with a heart of gold, but also loving
and caring. She was always encouraging to people who were down on their luck. She would help
people that needed food and supported them emotionally with words of encouragement.
To know Kelly was to love her. She had a soul for the record books, if there is such a thing in
heaven.
Kelly graduated on the high honor roll from Washingtonville High School in 1987. She went on
to work at Jacoby Hospital in Bronx, New York, the place that she was born and where her
mother formerly worked as a pediatric nurse. She held the title of Health Information
Management Specialist for ten years (1987--1997). She then moved on to a new job at Arden
Hill Hospital in Goshen, New York to be closer with her ailing mother, Patricia Mosca, in
Washingtonville where they lived. Her new title at Arden Hill Hospital was Corresponding
Secretary of Health Information Management.
Kelly struggled with diabetes from the age of 17, but that did not stop her from being a
wonderful person to all of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was always
thinking of others before herself. She was utterly selfless. She helped me, Dan Lasher, regain
custody of my children, Daniel Lasher Il and Edyth Lasher, and provided a home for all of us to
live.
That is one of the many reasons why I married her. We will miss her so verv much. Rest in
peace. Kelly
