

Kristen Phyllis Rodecker, of New Windsor and New Paltz, NY, passed away after a brief illness at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY on Saturday, November 12, 2011. She was 28.Kristen was born on September 2, 1983 in Hackensack, NJ. She was predeceased by her mother, Phyllis Rodecker. She is survived by her father George W. Rodecker of New Windsor, NY, her stepmother Lisa Moriarty of Monroe, NY, her sister Lori Rodecker Curci and her husband Michael of Morrow, Ohio, her sister Danielle Rodecker of Monroe, NY, her brother Michael Rodecker of Monroe, NY, her grandfather, George K. Rodecker, her aunt, Carol Patterson, her loving boyfriend, Noam Yaffe, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kristen was a sensitive, soft-spoken daughter and sister who lit up any room she walked into. Always ready to help anyone at her own expense, she loved family, Pink Floyd and playing board games with her brother and sisters. She was a proud graduate of SUNY New Paltz this year with a master’s degree in education. She was just preparing to begin her teaching career when she was called to Heaven. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 17, 2011, from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St. Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 18, 2011, at 10:00AM at Saint Mary’s Church, 42 Goshen Avenue, Washingtonville, NY. Interment will be private.
