Laura C. Lomolino passed away on Friday, September 12th. She was surrounded by those who loved her most. Laura grew up in Washingtonville, New York and was a beloved daughter and sister. She is survived by her parents, Lawrence and Robin Lomolino; her sister, Amber Lomolino and her husband Bill Ballerine; boyfriend, Joseph Lubrano; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
Laura fiercely loved her sister, Amber. They always had each other and shared memories of both the happy and sad times. Laura recently mentioned how she wished she was more like Amber in traveling the world…well she’s traveling now! Bill was her new friend and protector, treating her as any good big brother would.
Joey was Laura’s moon and stars. She loved him so much! He was her savior, and then had the grace to let her go. However, he will never let go of the memories they made and the love they shared. Laura’s family thanks the entire caring Lubrano family.
Laura loved being with her aunts, uncles, cousins, step-cousins, grandparents, and all of the doggies in her life. She had special memories with all of them including the beach, lake, family meals, Easter egg hunts, and moose sightings - moments of pure joy! And when she needed it the most, her Uncle Merrill was there to speak for her when she could no longer speak for herself.
Life was at times challenging for Laura, but she was blessed with many friends and their families who embraced her with love and compassion.
During her last days, Laura was cared for wonderfully by the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff in Garnet Health’s Cardiothoracic ICU. If their will, determination, and compassion could have healed Laura, she would still be here with all of us. Due to their protection and care, Laura was able to maintain her dignity throughout her journey. They are all angels, and her family is eternally grateful to them.
Laura loved her parents greatly. She was Daddy’s little girl and loved talking to her Mom. She made sure to always be at their house for not only the special occasions and holidays, but also for regular lunches and visits. Her joy in even the smallest things brought so much light into their lives. Although that light has dimmed, they can look up to the sky and think of her shining brightly and flying freely; happy and strong in the knowledge that she is now in God’s loving embrace.
Laura was, and will forever be, so loved!
