Born in New York, New York
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Madgaly Savasta, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and the heart of her family. Madgaly passed unexpectedly and far too soon, leaving behind a silence that can never truly be filled and a love that will never be forgotten.
Born in New York on July 8, 1963, Madgaly was the devoted wife of Joseph Savasta and the loving mother of Raymond and Stacey, who were the center of her world and the pride of her life. She was the cherished daughter of Georgina and the late Angel. She was a beloved sister to Nelson, William, Jacqueline, and Elizabeth, and was predeceased by her siblings Miriam, Lillian, and Angelo. Madgaly was also a proud and loving grandmother to Amilyah, Talia Salome, and Zacariah, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
To her family, Madgaly was more than a loved one—she was the matriarch. The one who held everyone together. The protector. The nurturer. The strength so many leaned on.
Madgaly loved fiercely and protected those she cared for with everything she had. Her love was unwavering, her loyalty unmatched, and her generosity knew no limits. She welcomed everyone with warmth, kindness, and a heart big enough to make anyone feel like family. To know Madgaly was to feel cared for, seen, and loved.
She was the life of the party and could brighten any room simply by being in it. She had a sense of humor that was unforgettable and a way of telling it like it was—honest, direct, and full of heart. She brought laughter wherever she went and left lasting warmth with everyone she met.
Madgaly was a fighter in every sense of the word. She faced life’s hardships and many health battles with incredible resilience, courage, and determination. Time and time again, she pushed through and came out stronger. Her strength and perseverance were an inspiration to all who knew her. That is what makes her sudden and untimely passing so deeply heartbreaking.
Madgaly leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, laughter, and fierce devotion to family. Her presence was a gift, her love was a blessing, and her absence will be felt forever.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our matriarch.
