Marie L. Beneducci

January 25, 1932March 29, 2018

Marie (Rescigno) Beneducci was born on January 25th, 1932 in New York City. She attended Washington Irving High School and worked at Commercial Investment Trust as a key punch operator. In 1953, she married Joseph Beneducci and together they had two children, Robert and Michele. Marie was the youngest of four siblings in her family; Tony Rescigno, Florence (Rescigno) Aluce, and Matthew Rescigno. She liked to knit; being able to fix virtually anything given she had enough thread and loved watching the soap opera “Days of Our Lives” along with “Murder, She Wrote”, and the occasional game show in between. Her love of game shows invoked the love of chance games which led to trying her luck with lottery scratch off tickets. In earlier years, she belonged to a bowling league where she once bowled a 300 and has the trophy to prove it. Marie was a simple woman and liked the simple things in life: a comfortable home, good wholesome cooking, and the love shared with family. But, should you ever find yourself in a way; lost and uncertain, she would never hesitate to break the façade of simplicity to show you a powerful, courageous, and helping hand. This was her way; simple at heart, but fierce and powerful of mind. She is survived by her husband, Joe; children Robert and Michele; her grandchildren Matthew DeVuono, James Beneducci, Mark Beneducci, Lisa Beneducci, Christopher Beneducci, and her great grandchildren Ryan Beneducci and Zachary Beneducci. Visitation will be on Monday April 2, 2018 2-4pm & 7-9pm at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY.
