To Mr. and Mrs. Ryan and family,

Please accept my deepest condolences on Matt's passing. Matt and I were in grad school together at Binghamton. We both completed our Master's degrees in 2009. Matt was always very kind and helpful. I recall once waiting for the bus on a cold winter day in Binghamton. Matt drove by and stopped his car and gave me a ride to campus. That was Matt.

To the Ryan Family-

I was so sad to hear of your loss. My mom and I were reminded of the wonderful memories of Matthew as a little boy swinging on his swing in your yard and singing Disney tunes at the top of his lungs. We would sit on our deck and laugh at his sweet innocence. Decades later that is one of my favorite memories growing up in Capital Hill. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Love, Stacy Schlomann-Kale

You were a brilliant bright soul and we're all better for knowing you! I miss sitting next to you at work and chatting all day about nothing and everything. It's hard to imagine I won't see you anymore. Love to you and your family Matt! RIP

Matt was my college suitemate and eventual roommate at Binghamton University. He was the sweetest guy, always welcoming, a true problem solver, and a dreamer. He welcomed all my friends and family as part of our little community, no matter who they were. Matt would ask me almost daily about my well being, would support my artistic ambitions, and was always willing to sit down and talk about life in general. The photo I attached was one I took of him in our dorm room one night after we celebrated our friend’s birthday. After every night, we would usually sit at our desks, swing our chairs around and talk for a bit. I’ll truly cherish all of our small convos, endless nights of watching YouTube videos you found amusing, and battling you in any game our computers could handle. I appreciated all your positive thoughts and your kind soul. RIP my friend.
