Condolences to Nancy Mendez-Ortiz family, friends and former co workers. 
I worked with Nancy many years ago when the Sheriff Department was located in the Queens Business Center. Even though we worked in different departments we were all in the same area and often ran into each other.  She always had a smile on her face, kind hearted and genuine person. I love to hear her stories of her daily encounters as a Sheriff Deputy doing her duties.

I am so sorry for your loss which is my loss too. She will be missed by all. Her Passion and Spirit will live on in all of us who were so Blessed to have known her. I’ve known you since I was a child. Myrtle beach you was always around my family. Love u and Rest up young lady.

I will treasure the times we worked together I will miss your smile and comedic ways. You always put others in front of  yourself.  The first hispanic Sergeant in the history of the Sheriff's you were more than a co-worker to myself and Marie you were and will always be our sister so go fly with the Angels until we meet again we love you Nancy so rest in eternal peace.

I remember when we all went to the city to eat at Tad’s steakhouse before it closed down. It was Nancy and Dionne and Mary and me. We had a great time together. And we were having so much fun that we didn’t care about the rain. I love you Nancy.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, Nancy Mendez. Nancy was a kind, caring, and supportive soul who touched the lives of so many. A long-time family friend, she never missed an opportunity to share her love, often sending thoughtful messages on holidays, reminding us all of the warmth she carried in her heart.

Her presence in our lives was a constant source of comfort and guidance, especially in times when we needed it most. We will deeply miss her messages and the genuine care she always showed. Nancy’s kindness and support will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Nancy. Thank you for being there for me, and for all the love and wisdom you shared. You will always be remembered and cherished.

Titi Nancy I always loved coming to see you and uncle Herb just to play on your PlayStation and hang out with the whole family.
