

Stanley E. "Stumpy" Dolan Sr. of Washingtonville, NY entered into rest on October 9, 2011 at Park Manor Nursing Home. He was 87. He was born in Harriman, NY on August 24, 1924 to Charles and Bertha Dolan. He was the husband of Hilda E. Conklin Dolan. A lifelong Washingtonville resident and lifelong Dairy Farmer, Stanley was well known for his Country Music and his band, Stumpy Dolan and the Ranch Hands. He was nominated for Man of the Year by the Tri State Country Music Assoc. His two passions in life were dairy farming and music. Stanley is survived by his wife, Hilda E. Dolan of Maybrook, NY; son, Stanley E. Jr. and his wife, Lottie Dolan also of Maybrook; daughters, Kathleen A. and husband, Richard Torro of Campbell Hall, NY, Donna M. Dolan of Montgomery, NY and Rosemarie E. Dolan and fiancé, Robert McMann of Wallkill. NY; brother, Robert Dolan of Monroe, NY; grandchildren, Michele, Stanley III, and James Dolan, Victoria Villano and John Torro; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kayla and Dominic; also many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville. A service will begin at 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
