

It is with deep sorrow and a broken heart that we announce the passing of Susan Gentile who left us peacefully on July 20th, 2025 at the age of 90. Born on May 4, 1935 and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Susan lived a full and vibrant life, filled with love, strength and an unshakeable devotion to her family.
Susan was a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes Fan, and avid reader of romance novels. She often told stories of her time working as an EMT in Rock Hill and her years "Up At The Lake" (Yankee Lake).
Susan was preceded in death by her Husband, Dante Gentile, her Son, Ron Gentile, Daugher-in-Law, Caroline Gentile, and Brother, Paul Salisbury. She leaves behind her other 5 Children, Dante Gentile, Victoria (William) Preston, Cherie (Henry) Moore, Martin (Gale) Gentile and Regina (Anthony) DeFazio. She loved and was so loved by her 14 Grandchildren, Danielle (Justin) LaPre, Heather Gentile, Toni-Ann (Greg) Buhler, Lynne (Rich) Ting, Josh (Karen) Moore, Sarah (Tim) Roberson, Gary Preston, Kelly Preston-Simmons, Matthew (Amber) Moore, Christopher Felcin, Andrew (Sarah) Moore, John Gentile, Elizabeth DeFazio, and Micheal DeFazio. She was also the proud Great Grandmother of 15 Great grandchildren, Luca Ogno, Grace LaPre, Gavin Buhler, Jack Buhler, Owen Buhler, Quinn Buhler, Henry Moore, Amelia Moore, Evan Moore, Lucas Roberson, Bennett Roberson, Saywer Moore, Carson Moore, Tucker Moore, and Ava Moore.
Susan will be Deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, love, joy and laughter will continue to inspire and comfort us as we carry her in our hearts. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, where she spent her last days.
